I am a wife, mom to a beautiful daughter, and creative mind who is passionate about all things vintage. I love decorating our farmhouse, giving furniture a new life, and playing store in our shop Heather Creek.  I have a background in interior design which I put to use in the shop (and at home if I have any free time). I am hoping to connect with other like minded ladies (and gents) and provide decorating inspiration to our followers. 

While visiting the shop, I often have people ask me to "Just come to my house and do what you do". 

This blog is a way for you to have a peek into the constant evolution of Heather Creek, as well as the day to day juggling between managing the business and being a mom & wife. I love to share the projects I paint with Chalk Paint® for my house, customers, and the shop. The before and after will (I hope) demonstrate what an amazing difference a coat of paint can make. 

Heather Creek has changed hands a few times since it first opened. A rather large impulse buy, my mom took over the business, and together we hand pick each and every item in the store with a thoughtful eye. We (we as in my mom, Rebecka, me, Danielle, and Sarah-our newest recruit) hope to provide a unique shopping experience in a store lovingly filled with treasures both new and old. 

Some interesting tidbits about me: I have done everything from running a before/after school program in Germany for the US Army, to inspecting septic systems (which I would not recommend as a career to most of you!). I have an addiction to cake {well, any dessert really} and I have watched the entire 10 seasons of Friends twice.
